Explore weekly clinician capacity, room limits and an editable scenario for a pediatric therapy clinic.
How to use this tool
Use the clinic capacity planner to explore whether weekly clinician hours or room hours limit an aggregate service scenario.
Enter available weekly room hours and identify which disciplines share those rooms.
For each discipline, enter direct-care hours, session length, turnover time and eligible room pools.
Change one assumption at a time and compare the upper-bound capacity before exporting.
Fictional example and how to read the result
Fictional example: a clinician has 30 hours available, including 6 hours for other work. Direct-session capacity starts from 24 hours, not 30.
Capacity is an upper bound from your assumptions. It is not an appointment schedule; review availability, equipment, supervision and shared rooms separately.
Compare room and clinician constraints
Use aggregate weekly hours by discipline and the rooms each discipline can use. The result is an upper bound from those assumptions, not a feasible appointment timetable. Shared rooms cannot be counted twice.
Account for documentation and other non-session time.
Compare an extra clinician hour with an extra room hour.
Check availability, supervision, equipment and appointment lengths before adopting a scenario.
