Release notes

New features, improvements and fixes in each TherapyCRM release.

v1.0.75 ·

Correct support address in emails

Emails from TherapyCRM now point to support@therapycrm.io and to therapycrm.io links when a practice has not set its own contact details.

Bug fixes

  • Password-reset, family portal and client emails show support@therapycrm.io as the support address, instead of an address on a domain TherapyCRM does not use.
  • Subscription, portal and document links in emails fall back to therapycrm.io.

v1.0.74 ·

Kiosk birthday celebrations

Practices can choose to celebrate a child's birthday on the Kiosk, and Birthday look-up now always shows its month step. New app version: Kiosk 1.4.2.

New features

  • Kiosk birthday celebrations: when a practice turns them on, a child who checks in on their birthday sees an animated cake, balloons and confetti with a happy-birthday greeting, and a birthday wish again at check-out. Off by default; set per kiosk under Children's experience.

Improvements

  • Celebrations follow the device Reduce Motion and the kiosk gentle-animation settings, showing a still cake instead of motion.
  • The server decides whether it is a child's birthday in the branch time zone and sends only that, never the date of birth.

Bug fixes

  • Kiosk Birthday look-up shows its month keys even when every child that day shares a birth month.

v1.0.73 ·

Faster mobile apps and fixes from device testing

The Kiosk, Therapist and Family apps respond faster, and fixes from on-device testing make headers, times, invoices and notifications clearer. New app versions: Kiosk 1.4.1, Therapist 1.1.1 and Family 1.1.2.

New features

  • Families requesting a visit see their child's care team first, with other clinicians one tap away.
  • The Therapist app shows an unread count on the Inbox tab.

Improvements

  • Kiosk check-in, the Therapist inbox and message conversations make fewer database calls in sequence, so they load noticeably faster.
  • Sending a message returns straight away; notifications to the other side are sent right after.
  • The Therapist app refreshes Today and the inbox when you return to the app or unlock it.
  • Times follow each device's 12- or 24-hour setting, and the clinic time zone is shown once, only when it differs from the device.
  • Invoice PDFs show line items in aligned columns and a readable status.
  • Therapist notices about visit requests explain that the front desk confirms them.

Bug fixes

  • Family screen titles no longer overlap content when you scroll, and document details start below the header.
  • The Kiosk confirmation button is fully visible on iPhone without scrolling.
  • Kiosk shift summaries always add up: worked time equals elapsed time minus breaks.
  • Shared invoice files are named after the invoice number.
  • Time-off dates in the Therapist app use the same date format as the rest of the app.
  • Lead follow-up reminders go only to staff who manage leads.

v1.0.72 ·

More complete MCP and Ask Agent workflows

MCP tools now cover more recently added practice, family portal, billing, attendance and clinical workflows. Ask Agent uses the practice local date for time-sensitive summaries.

New features

  • MCP tools cover portal invoice publishing, family account and invitation workflows, client media consent and visit location, pickup confirmation, clock-event review, kiosk help, notification preferences and progress-note status.

Improvements

  • MCP coverage checks now distinguish supported actions from browser, multipart and webhook flows that need their own interface.
  • Ask Agent practice snapshots and clinical summaries use the practice time zone when interpreting dates.

v1.0.71 ·

Safer shared family phones and steadier lead scores

Family sessions stay open while a family is using the app and end reliably afterwards, shared phones keep each family's data and notifications separate, and lead scores are reused until their inputs change. New Kiosk, Therapist and Family app versions follow in the App Store.

New features

  • Lead contact log: each logged message records whether it was sent to or received from the lead, and only messages from the lead count as engagement in the lead score.

Improvements

  • Lead scores are reused until the lead's details change, estimated scores are labelled as estimates, and the lead page stops checking for a new score after repeated errors.
  • Kiosk help: after a family asks for help, the Kiosk shows whether the front desk is on the way until staff respond, instead of returning to the names list after a short time.
  • Mobile apps: TherapyCRM Kiosk 1.4.0, Therapist 1.1.0 and Family 1.1.0 bring the 1.0.70 and 1.0.71 improvements to iPhone and iPad through the App Store.

Bug fixes

  • Document review reminders are now scheduled in production, so reviewers receive their daily reminders.

v1.0.70 ·

Smoother visits, clearer follow-up

More consistent visits across TherapyCRM Kiosk, Therapist, Family and the web workspace, with clearer pickup confirmation, help requests, custody changes, scheduling, billing and more reliable reminders for Canadian practices. Apps already in the App Store keep working with the updated server.

New features

  • Kiosk pickup: pickup choices require a current custodial record. Without an eligible guardian, checkout is saved for staff confirmation. Calendar cues and notices flag pending pickups; staff can confirm individual and group pickups on the web by choosing an authorised guardian on file. Missing custody prompts setup. Therapist app notices open the visit or notice details according to staff access.
  • Early arrival and help: the Kiosk shows the scheduled start for early arrivals. Staff can acknowledge and resolve help requests on the web, with a saved sound preference and follow-up alerts while someone is waiting.
  • Staff clock: staff can review clock events that need attention, and clock-in checks follow the clinic and field-work rules set by the practice.
  • Media consent: front-desk staff, assigned clinicians and authorised guardians can record photo and video consent from their existing workflows.
  • Multi-factor sign-in: enrolment includes a private QR code for an authenticator app, with clearer feedback if setup is unavailable.

Improvements

  • Therapist app: today's sessions show clearer client names, attendance and visits needing completion, and retain the displayed visit across refreshes. Submitted notes are labelled, drafts survive signing back into the same account, and discarding edits is more predictable. Front-desk attendance and the inbox refresh as activity changes.
  • Family app and portal: booking and move requests use the clinic time zone, date pickers include month calendars, and upcoming visits stay in order. Move requests show original and requested times; "Review affected visits" opens the visit, and declines can include a note to the family. Pickup status, home-practice reminders and conversation read states are clearer. Family notices name the child; "In session now" requires confirmed attendance.
  • Family messages: families see staff names and roles, messages reach the current care team, and staff can search all eligible clients when starting a conversation. Guardian links guide attendance notices and access to invoices.
  • Web workspace: staff-detail tabs stay in the URL, calendar badges fit their cards, and labels use sentence case. The dashboard's Today's schedule refreshes automatically, and opening a visit from a link fetches its current details. Scheduling conflicts and branch hours are easier to understand.
  • Treatment plan choices: staff can book without a treatment plan or unlink an existing plan. Clearer mismatch messages explain when a plan does not fit.
  • Accessibility and copy: back buttons name their destinations, focus moves correctly after navigation, and decorative Kiosk characters stay out of screen reader announcements. The client picker keeps the selected client's branch and record number visible. Singular and plural labels and empty states are clearer.
  • Notifications and reminders: active phones keep receiving push notices. Appointment emails distinguish confirmations from reschedules, reminders cover scheduled and confirmed visits, and publishing a schedule sends one digest per family. No-show notices retry failed email and SMS deliveries for each recipient without repeating successful deliveries, and stop if the no-show is reverted. Staff are alerted if retries are exhausted. Document review alerts retry for recipients who still need them.
  • App compatibility: existing apps keep working with this server release. Native app updates arrive separately through the App Store.
  • Brand consistency: TherapyCRM cobalt now matches across the web workspace, browser and home-screen icons, light and dark themes, app splash screens and emails. The Kiosk keeps its teal, tuned for readable contrast in light and dark themes.
  • Layout and readability: dialogs, side panels and pages fit the window without clipped headers or empty space, and long lists, message threads, charts and import grids scroll within their own area. Lists separate each entry, so visits, messages and notices are easy to tell apart. Input fields show a full focus outline on the web and in all three apps, and phone and tablet forms stay clear of the keyboard and screen edges.
  • Matching names: clients who share a name show a last initial or an identifying label in the Kiosk, Therapist and Family apps. The Kiosk shows fewer name details before a family completes its check.
  • Therapist and Family apps: active sessions stay open while you work, and switching accounts asks for confirmation. Visit states, attendance wording and back navigation are clearer, links opened from a notification offer a way back, and an expired Family session recovers with a fresh sign-in.
  • Web copy: client identity, custody and lead wording is clearer, help requests show how long ago they were raised, and visit outcomes stay consistent through review.
  • Kiosk on iPad: in landscape, the "Is this you?" buttons, the staff PIN Continue button and the "Can't see your name?" help stay fully visible without covering names. Each new child starts at the top of the names list, and browsing by scroll, keyboard or screen reader no longer triggers the idle reset early.
  • Web messages: the conversation list and thread adapt to the space available, including when the Ask agent panel is open, and keyboard focus stays in place when the layout changes. Date fields keep a full focus outline, and the selected tab stays visible on phones.
  • Therapist and Family apps: focused note fields stay above the Save bar and keyboard, and Today says whether a visit starts soon, is due or has started. Children who share a name are labelled distinctly, visits in progress stay under Upcoming, pending move requests show on their visit, and switches, invoice statuses, message times and headings read more clearly.

Bug fixes

  • Kiosk recovery: roster refreshes preserve a check-in or pickup in progress and keep failed actions visible for retry. Pending pickups survive offline replay and remain visible across later visits; Kiosk renewal retains pending visits.
  • Kiosk navigation: returning home, reopening the app and changing Kiosk settings reuse the correct screens and refresh attendance. Arrivals link a child to the upcoming visit rather than an earlier missed one.
  • Attendance and completion: pickup records departure while staff retain responsibility for completing visits and notes. A child leaving before the visit starts shows "Left before the visit"; staff can complete it once it starts. Web and app attendance views agree, refresh after Kiosk actions and pickup confirmations, and respect recorded arrivals and corrections.
  • Billing: new Canadian practices default to CAD. New session and assessment invoices use the practice currency, and summaries identify excluded currencies. Prepaid visits show "Covered by package" and cannot be invoiced again. Failed online payments have a clearer recovery path, and family billing access is respected. Billing-only staff are directed to a clinician or the front desk instead of seeing a Complete button they cannot use.
  • Scheduling: fulfilment totals match the visible plan rows, status edits are preserved, and single-day unavailability is easier to read. Updating a visit's outcome or notes preserves its treatment plan link. Automatic appointment titles follow plan and service changes while staff-written titles are preserved.
  • Clinical review: accepted forms follow the required signature review, and session completion and amended treatment plans retain their continuity. New document titles retain the local session date.
  • No-show corrections: reverting or correcting a no-show withdraws its family notice and cleans up its follow-up in one step. Billing includes overdue visits checked in at reception, and declined move requests and missed-visit notices reach the right family.
  • Family billing: cancelled invoices no longer show a balance or payment and download buttons.
