TherapyCRM

Release notes

New features, improvements and fixes in each TherapyCRM release.

v1.0.87 ·

quicker, steadier updates

A maintenance release. Nothing changes in how you use TherapyCRM: this release makes our update process quicker and more reliable.

Improvements

  • After an update reaches our test environment, we now re-run the checks that can behave differently there (signing in, saving and reading records, imports and the public pages) instead of repeating every check that already passed. The complete set of checks still runs before every update and every night.
  • Fixed an intermittent slowdown in our test environment that could hold an update back by about 15 minutes.
  • The housekeeping steps after each release no longer re-test code that has already been tested.

v1.0.86 ·

faster, safer updates

A maintenance release. Nothing changes in how you use TherapyCRM: this release improves how updates are tested and delivered.

Improvements

  • Updates are tested faster before they reach you: the automated checks that every change must pass now finish in about 11 minutes instead of 13 to 16. Every check still runs.
  • Database changes in a release are rehearsed on a fresh copy of production before they are applied. A release whose only database change is its own release notes no longer waits for that rehearsal.
  • Release decisions are made by the previous, already-verified version of the release tooling, so a change to that tooling never approves itself.

v1.0.85 ·

OAP and insurance invoicing

Invoices, receipts and funding tracking now work for families funded by the Ontario Autism Program and for families with private extended health insurance, including manual direct billing to insurers.

New features

  • Invoicing for families funded by the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and for families with private extended health insurance, including manual direct billing to insurers.
  • Practice billing identity: legal name and GST/HST registration, plus each clinician's practitioner type, designation, regulatory body and registration number with expiry. The staff list shows each person's registration status.
  • Per-line tax on invoices: exempt (with the reason), taxable at the provincial rate for the issue date, or zero-rated. A readiness check blocks sending when tax setup is incomplete.
  • Invoices that insurers and OAP accept: each line shows its date, duration, delivering and supervising clinicians with registration numbers, and a tax code. Invoices show a bill-to guardian and a funding block.
  • A numbered receipt for every family payment, including payment-plan payments. Staff, the family portal and the family app can download it.
  • Structured insurance policies (insurer, masked member ID, group, policyholder, primary or secondary, coverage limits and direct-billing flag). Existing insurance details are carried over.
  • OAP funding periods, reference numbers and per-service eligibility. Funding is drawn down when an invoice is issued and restored if it is cancelled.
  • Expected insurer amounts per line for manual direct billing, based on coverage percent and per-visit and annual limits.

Improvements

  • Releases now check the database structure against production's real schema.
  • Each version is validated once and that proof is reused on its way to production, so releases are faster. Security, migration and staging checks still run every time.

Bug fixes

  • A finished database update could leave its lock behind and block the next release. The lock is now released only by the update that holds it.

v1.0.84 ·

Family portal link, search indexing and safer releases

The Family app page links to the family portal sign-in again, search engines no longer index test copies of the site, and releases now verify the database structure before it is changed.

Improvements

  • The Family app page links to the family portal sign-in again so invited families can find the browser option.
  • Guides carry complete publication dates, and the occupational therapy startup guide heading matches its title.
  • Releases now verify that the production database structure matches the application before it is changed.
  • Database changes are checked against a reference copy of the expected structure on every proposed change.
  • Staging and preview copies of the site tell search engines not to index them, while the live site stays indexed.

v1.0.83 ·

Guides, templates and comparisons for pediatric therapy clinics

The public site now has guides, copyable templates and sourced comparisons for Canadian pediatric and autism therapy clinics, a more complete Ontario Autism Program funding guide, and clearer wording on the pages clinics use to evaluate TherapyCRM.

New features

  • New guides for Canadian pediatric therapy clinics cover choosing practice management software, what an EMR is compared with practice management software, how much clinic software costs, and starting an ABA or pediatric therapy practice.
  • New copyable templates with fictional examples cover ABA session notes and SOAP notes, ABA and therapy treatment plans, discrete trial data sheets, speech and occupational therapy SOAP notes, intake and consent forms, and invoice, cancellation and reminder wording.
  • New sourced comparison pages show what ABA and therapy practice management vendors state on their own sites, with the date checked and a way to request a correction.
  • A new pediatric therapy clinic page explains how ABA, speech, occupational therapy and physiotherapy teams share one record in TherapyCRM.
  • A guides hub lists every guide, template and comparison.

Improvements

  • The Ontario Autism Program funding guide now covers invoice requirements, eligible expenses, letters of recommendation and the older childhood budget wording, each tied to the ministry pages it came from.
  • A new section explains what insurers and the Canada Revenue Agency commonly ask a receipt to show, and states that requirements vary by plan.
  • Home, features, pricing, scheduling, discipline and app pages use the words clinics search for, and every page now links to related guides.
  • The demo request form no longer counts filtered spam submissions as requests, and analytics recovers when a visitor declines and later allows analytics.

Bug fixes

  • The sitemap no longer resets every page last-modified date to the release date after a release.

v1.0.82 ·

A funding guide for Ontario clinics and clearer public pages

There is a new guide to how Ontario Autism Program funding works for clinics, the pricing page shows plan prices in plain text, and a library that cleans web content has been updated to its latest security release.

New features

  • A new guide, How Ontario Autism Program funding works for your clinic, explains who receives the funding, what invoices and receipts need, how reporting works, and where TherapyCRM helps and where it does not.

Improvements

  • The pricing page now shows every plan monthly and yearly price in the page text, so search engines and screen readers see them without running scripts.
  • The public sitemap now lists real last-modified dates, and web addresses that do not exist return a proper not-found response.
  • The Kiosk page describes the staff sign-in methods that are available today.

Bug fixes

  • Requests to www.therapycrm.io for the sitemap, robots and llms files now redirect to therapycrm.io like every other page.
