What is ABA practice management software?
ABA practice management software is the system an applied behaviour analysis clinic uses to run the work around therapy: intake, staff and room scheduling, session data collection, treatment plans, reviewed notes, funding balances, invoices and family communication. It differs from general clinic software because it records trial-by-trial data and prompt levels against each child’s plan.

What ABA practice management software covers
Most products group the work into five areas. A clinic may already use separate tools for some of them; the value of one system is that each step produces the record the next one needs.
- Intake: enquiries, a waitlist, intake and consent forms, and turning a lead into a client record without retyping.
- Scheduling: recurring sessions around clinicians, rooms and locations, with conflict checks before a visit is confirmed.
- Clinical record: versioned treatment plans with targets, prompt hierarchies and mastery criteria, session data, and notes a supervisor reviews.
- Funding and billing: funding periods with approved hours and dollars, invoices from completed sessions, and receipts.
- Families: a portal or app for visits, messages, forms and the progress the clinic chooses to share.
How it differs from general practice software
General clinic software is built around single appointments and a payment. An ABA clinic also records many short trials in each session, has supervisors reviewing technicians’ notes, and tracks funding approved in hours and dollars for a period. A physician EMR is a different category again, built around a medical chart.
Where TherapyCRM fits
TherapyCRM is ABA practice management software for clinics in Canada outside Quebec. Session Runner records each trial as correct, incorrect or no response with the prompt level used, keeps an encrypted draft on the device if the connection drops and synchronizes when it returns. Plans are versioned, a clinician confirms mastery, and funding periods warn before an authorization expires or a balance runs low.
TherapyCRM serves practices in Canada outside Quebec, in English only. It does not submit insurance or government claims, including Ontario Autism Program claims, and has no telehealth or video visits. Its Family and Kiosk apps are for iPhone and iPad. It is practice management software with a clinical record, not a physician EMR, has no EMR certification and holds no privacy or security certification.
