iOS 27 apps, push notifications and check-in fixes
Prepare the Check-In, Therapist and Family apps for iOS 27 and iPad, make push notifications clearer and more private, and fix kiosk check-in and no-show handling.
New features
Mobile apps: Check-In 1.3.0 lets children choose from 25 animated animal characters, reads names and messages aloud in natural voices on the iPad itself, and adapts to resizable iPad windows and hardware keyboards.
Mobile apps: Therapist 1.0.0 adds a two-pane iPad layout with a sidebar, native iOS controls, toolbars and alerts, and notification buttons to open a session, open Reception or mark an update as read.
Mobile apps: Family 1.0.0 adds iPad layouts, a Today card that follows each visit from start to pickup, quiet notification delivery until alerts are turned on, and notification buttons to reply or mark as read.
Mobile apps: Check-In, Therapist and Family are ready for iOS 27 and are updated separately through the App Store.
Push notifications set the app icon badge to the unread count. Client arrivals, reception help requests and attendance updates arrive as Time Sensitive; bills and forms arrive quietly.
Family members can delete their TherapyCRM Family sign-in from More, Account in the app or the Account tab of the web portal. Sign-in stops immediately; the practice keeps care records as the law requires, and staff see the account as deleted by the family.
Improvements
Each app has its own colour, icon and Home Screen name: Check-In in teal, Therapist in blue and Family in coral.
Check-In app: speech plays only when a child taps Read it to me, name help asks before calling the front desk, refused check-ins explain why, and the screen stays awake while the iPad is set up as a kiosk.
Therapist app: data collection buttons are the same size, the save status is quieter, session notes save drafts automatically and ask before unsaved text is discarded, and lists refresh with a pull.
Family app: a visit stays under Upcoming until two hours after it ends, and actions that remove something use a distinct red colour.
Push notifications that reach a temporary sending limit are retried later instead of being dropped.
Bug fixes
Kiosk check-in now marks the matching appointment as checked in within the visit window and links the arrival to the closest appointment, so the calendar and Therapist app show the client as arrived.
A check-in left open from before yesterday no longer shows a child as already here or blocks a new arrival.
A no-show can no longer be recorded after the client has arrived, and automatic no-show skips clients who have arrived.
Therapist app: Today refreshes when you return to it, keeps checked-in sessions under Up next, hides Mark as no-show after arrival and opens the session note as soon as a session ends.
Check-in and pickup times on appointments show in the practice time zone, and a pickup is labelled as a pickup rather than a completed session.
Attendance alerts, pickup details, family attendance screens, progress targets and older care-update links show current information and open the right place.
Clinical signing and review queue actions now follow staff permissions and clinician assignment.
Spreadsheet imports keep links between sheets, match archived staff correctly and point results to the right records.
Therapist app: session times stay on one line in Today at every text size, and the lock screen header no longer overlaps the status bar.
Check-In app: on iPhone the date row lines up with the name tiles, and names and staff cards scroll to the bottom of the screen under the help button.
Family app: on iPad the open conversation title is no longer hidden under the tab bar.
v1.0.62 ·
Connected family and therapist care
Connect family and therapist workflows, make care notifications actionable, and improve shared records and mobile navigation.
New features
Mobile apps: Family connects visits, secure messages, care updates, home practice, documents, forms and billing to the family portal.
Therapists can review family home-practice logs and receive actionable care notifications.
Families receive an in-app notice when their care team reviews a practice log.
Improvements
TherapyCRM branding, translucent headers and floating navigation are consistent across the mobile apps.
Notification history loads older items and shows the full unread count.
Therapist alerts open the relevant record or a clear authenticated handoff to TherapyCRM web.
Open family documents refresh permission and expiry checks while in the foreground.
Bug fixes
Confirmed appointments can be checked in within the permitted visit window; duplicate arrivals preserve their original time.
Concurrent home-practice submissions return a clear conflict instead of a server error; concurrent reviews notify the family once.
Expired document links show an expiry message and disappear from the family library.
Practice reminders open Home practice consistently in the web portal and Family app.
Mobile collection screens show unsaved-draft failures and a specific retry action.
Invoice publication, payment updates, documents and care events refresh the corresponding app records and notification feeds.
v1.0.61 ·
Connected therapist workflows and clearer clinical forms
Connect therapist workflows to saved practice records, improve goal data collection and graphs, and explain treatment-plan validation errors.
New features
Therapist workflows connect appointments, client details, clinical sessions, notes, clock events, breaks, time off and preferences to saved practice records.
Session collection drafts can be recovered after reopening a session, with protection against duplicate submissions and package consumption.
Clients and authorized guardians can grant or decline photo and video consent from Account in the client portal.
Family updates support photos and videos from Photos or Camera, subject to recorded media consent.
Staff clock events record verification evidence for kiosk and phone actions, with manager review and client visit-location settings.
Improvements
Goal collection sheets use their stored templates, field bindings, prompt options and measurement settings.
Date and time controls, numeric validation, predefined choices and required-field feedback reduce entry and formatting mistakes.
Guidance is compact by default and expands when needed; option labels and units use readable words instead of underscores.
Goal progress graphs use the configured measurement and separate primary outcomes from supplementary collection sheets.
The therapist app uses TherapyCRM branding and refreshes connected records when returning to a screen.
Bug fixes
Treatment-plan create and update errors identify rejected fields instead of displaying only Validation failed; entries remain available for correction.
Session changes preserve the correct draft and submission receipt for each collection sheet.
New collection sheets reuse configured choices without copying previous session responses.
Clock and break requests preserve their source and avoid duplicate changes when retried.
Phone punches commit the shift and verification evidence together so a failed write can be retried safely.
Mobile schedules remain available when an optional feed is unavailable, and saved records are retained during temporary outages.
Shift corrections include an explicit date and default to the original event date for older or overnight shifts.
Breaking changes
Photo and video family updates require recorded client media consent. Existing clients start with consent not on file; a permitted staff member or guardian must record consent before adding or publishing media.
v1.0.60 ·
Public website rendering and product discovery
Public pages load their scripts and styles reliably, with clearer product navigation, practical workflow examples and easier access to demo requests.
Improvements
Added contextual links between product and discipline pages, practical ABA and progress-tracking examples, and clearer demo links.
Improved main content landmarks and mobile wrapping on public pages.
Bug fixes
Fixed blocked scripts and styles in cached public pages.
Cached public pages now wait for the page content to finish rendering.
v1.0.59 ·
Session notes for manual appointments
Clinicians assigned through manual appointments can save session notes from the client profile without creating a treatment plan.
Improvements
Public website analytics can use the configured measurement ID while continuing to require consent and run only on approved public production pages.
Bug fixes
Fixed the Progress note access is not permitted error when an assigned clinician saves a client-profile note without an appointment or treatment-plan link.
Notes created through this workflow can be reopened and edited by their author; treatment plans remain optional.
v1.0.58 ·
Family portal reliability and payment safeguards
This release fixes assigned forms, guardian session revocation, message attachments and conversation refresh, and strengthens invoice checkout recovery and billing access checks.
Improvements
Practice conversations refresh when you return to the tab and while a thread is open.
Repeated payment requests resume the same checkout, and replaced checkouts close before a new balance can be collected.
Bug fixes
Assigned family forms can be opened, saved and submitted by guardians with clinical access.
A rejected message attachment no longer leaves behind a sent message, partial attachment binding or unread-count changes.
Re-enabling a guardian account does not restore sessions that were revoked when the account was disabled.
Invoice payment confirmation checks the selected invoice and the guardian's current billing access.
Checkout retries recover after a lost response and reconcile an expired session before creating a replacement.
