Release notes

New features, improvements and fixes in each TherapyCRM release.

v1.0.39 ·

Canadian terms of service, acceptance records, and AI data residency

TherapyCRM 1.0.39 republishes the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy as Canada-focused drafts for legal review, records every acceptance with its version, restricts registration to Canadian practices outside Quebec, enforces a North-America-only policy for AI model providers in code, and honours the 30-day read-only export window after a subscription ends.

New features

  • Terms of Service and Privacy Policy published as effective for a Canada-only offering: party roles under Canadian privacy law, a liability cap of fees paid in the preceding twelve months, customer consent and anti-spam responsibilities, AI disclosure, data-location disclosure, intellectual-property and confidentiality protections, reserved rights to change terms, pricing, and hosting, breach notice, and Ontario governing law
  • Registration now requires explicit acceptance of the current Terms and Privacy Policy and asks for the practice’s province; Quebec practices are told the service is not offered there
  • Practice owners are asked in-app to accept a new version of the documents whenever one is published, and every acceptance is kept as evidence with version, person, time, and network address
  • After a subscription ends, the practice keeps read-only access — including data exports — for thirty days before data is scheduled for deletion

Improvements

  • Legal documents now show a version and effective date, and the Canada-first defaults apply to new practices
  • The welcome email confirms the Terms and Privacy Policy versions accepted at signup with links to the documents, and no longer makes support or certification claims the Terms do not
  • Public-page footers show the current year

Bug fixes

  • The previous documents described an adult-client product, referenced a non-existent service agreement, and pointed to a foreign jurisdiction; all three are corrected

Breaking changes

  • New practice registrations are limited to Canadian provinces and territories outside Quebec; existing practices are unaffected

v1.0.38 ·

Comprehensive client discharge

TherapyCRM 1.0.38 introduces a guided, auditable discharge workflow that checks the client’s open care and billing context, records the clinical rationale, produces a final discharge summary, and closes the applicable care episode records together. Reactivation starts a clean new care episode without erasing historical discharge evidence.

New features

  • Review a discharge preflight covering future appointments, completed uninvoiced sessions, service enrollments, treatment plans, treatment schedules, and waitlist entries
  • Capture a structured discharge reason, required clinical narratives, explicit safety confirmations, and acknowledgement of outstanding uninvoiced work
  • Generate a final discharge-summary document from the practice’s published Discharge Summary template
  • Cancel future appointments and close open enrollments, plans, schedules, and waitlist entries atomically with the client discharge
  • Reactivate a client for a new care episode while preserving the prior summary and immutable discharge history

Improvements

  • Completed sessions remain available for billing after discharge, with their uninvoiced state shown before confirmation
  • Client, portal, and assigned-care-team notifications are consolidated after a successful discharge
  • Discipline-level enrollment discharge and hold actions now require a reason
  • Client lists and detail pages expose the guided workflow only for eligible active clients

Bug fixes

  • Cancelled waitlist history retains the client name after the client leaves active care
  • The client bulk-action menu no longer offers a new discharge workflow for an already discharged client

v1.0.37 ·

Ask Agent approval hardening and goal data-sheet guardrails

TherapyCRM 1.0.37 hardens Ask Agent approval cards, brings the in-app agent to parity with the direct MCP connector across all registry domains, and guarantees that every goal added to a treatment plan is collectible in the Session Runner from the moment it is created.

New features

  • Ask Agent now offers the same identity check as the direct MCP connector and can discover a complete domain exactly, without a broad-search cap
  • Approved Ask Agent writes show what changed in plain language, and the result is kept in the conversation history after a reload
  • A Propose mode in the agent panel turns an explicit change request into a single approval card instead of a conversational back-and-forth
  • New treatment-plan goals require a published data sheet, recommended automatically from the measurement type, so Start Session can collect data right away

Improvements

  • Clinical-library categories, report date ranges, single-item groupings, and appointment date fields are normalized so correct natural-language requests are not rejected for spelling differences
  • Update confirmations use human labels and summarize the changed fields without exposing internal identifiers
  • Lead name aliases are validated for consistency, and a lead proposal that contradicts the user’s statement about whether the contact is the client is sent back for correction before approval
  • The Documents list publishes its exact sort choices and points agents to the statistics read for a backlog overview

Bug fixes

  • Ask Agent could not confirm a phone number or email the user had just typed because its privacy layer removed every contact field; the exact user-supplied value is now retained for comparison only
  • Exact-domain discovery no longer returns zero or partial counts when a free-text search term is also supplied
  • The parity test suite derives its operation count from the registry instead of a literal, so adding an operation cannot silently desynchronize it

v1.0.36 ·

Attach an existing plan document

TherapyCRM 1.0.36 lets a practice create a treatment plan from an existing plan document instead of re-authoring it. Upload the signed PDF once, attach it while creating the plan, enter only the scheduling details, and confirm it with a single attestation so Scheduling can use the plan immediately. Goals can be added to the plan at any time afterwards.

New features

  • Choose a plan source when creating a treatment plan: author it in TherapyCRM or attach an existing uploaded plan document
  • Attached plans need only the scheduling details — the clinical sections and the one-goal minimum are not required because the attached file carries them
  • Confirm & activate: the responsible clinician confirms an attached plan with one typed attestation, which takes it to active in a single step
  • The plan page shows the attached document inline with open and download actions, and the Review & Sign tab records the attestation as the plan signature
  • Start Session is now available directly on active plan cards and list rows on the Treatment Plans page

Improvements

  • Activation readiness reports that an attached document carries the plan content instead of asking for goals, while consent and review-date checks are unchanged
  • The attached-document picker lists only the selected client’s uploads that are not already attached to another plan, with an upload option in place
  • Goals added to an attached plan later are collected in the Session Runner exactly like any other plan
  • MCP treatment-plan operations accept attachedDocumentId on create and expose the new attest action

Bug fixes

  • Attached plan documents use the secure same-origin PDF preview introduced in 1.0.35, so they render inline instead of a broken-file panel

v1.0.35 ·

Reliable previews for uploaded PDFs

TherapyCRM 1.0.35 restores the inline PDF viewer for externally uploaded client documents. Private PDFs are now delivered through an authenticated TherapyCRM preview response, so staff can review the file in place without weakening the application content security policy or exposing the temporary storage address.

New features

  • Preview an uploaded PDF directly on its document detail page using the browser-native PDF viewer

Improvements

  • PDF byte-range requests are supported so the native viewer can seek efficiently within larger documents
  • Open original and published-document download behavior remains unchanged

Bug fixes

  • Fixed uploaded PDFs displaying a broken-file panel because the embedded viewer was redirected to a storage origin blocked by the application content security policy

v1.0.34 ·

Upload and manage existing client documents

TherapyCRM 1.0.34 lets staff add an existing assessment, report or clinical file directly to a client record. Uploaded documents appear alongside template-created documents, preserve the review and publication workflow, and provide secure viewing, PDF preview, original-file download and editable document details.

New features

  • Upload an external PDF, DOC or DOCX beside every Create Document action in the Documents module and each client record
  • Choose the client, document title, category and description during upload
  • View uploaded PDF files inline, open the protected original, and download the original after publication
  • Edit the title, category and description of an uploaded document while it remains editable

Improvements

  • Uploaded documents now participate in document lists, category filters, category counts, review workflow and activity history
  • Client-scoped uploads keep the selected client fixed and display the client name
  • DOC and DOCX uploads now receive the same extension, MIME and signature validation already applied to PDFs

Bug fixes

  • Uploaded files no longer appear as an unknown template or crash the document viewer when no template row exists
  • External document categories are now included in document sorting, filtering and practice-wide category statistics
  • Original-file download now returns the stored filename instead of navigating to an inline preview
